Saturday before Easter, we had a little egg hunt at our apartment complex (surprisingly, our ward had nothing planned!) Anna LOVED it, as well as Ben, and Carter could have cared less! He was just happy to be OUTSIDE! Until....he found all the CANDY in the eggs! And thus began my nightmare....Carter wanting "Tanny" day and night and for all three meals! The kid loves these top five things the most: Mommy, Outside, Basketball, "Bikes" (or all things motorized), and Candy!
Saturday night we dyed Easter eggs....another part of my nightmare....Carter wanting to dye ALL the eggs, ALL at once, just grab what he could and drop it in the nearest dye dish!!
Carter when mommy would NOT let him dye any more eggs!
Anna Belle is such a fun three (almost four) year old!! She LOVES all things crafty and artsy!
And of course Ben.....who loved the whole holiday as well.
Carter Easter morning....
And Anna EARLY Easter morning....she was up and at it before the sun was up! She had all her church attire in hand, ready to go! She was quite EXCITED to see the Easter Bunny had finally come!!
We had a little "lesson" before church, where we talked about the true meaning of Easter, and I had pictures to go along especially for Anna and Carter. It was neat, later that day before dinner, to have Ben say the prayer and pray that all of us could remember the true meaning of Easter and that Christ died for our sins. And even better is to hear Anna's prayers concerning the same thing:
"Dear Heavly Father, Tank you for da food. Pwease bwess dat we tan eat dood food and only a yittle bit of chips an not a yot of chips....pwease bwess dat Ben tan live wit us, and dat him mommy tan det better, an dat him mommy tan make dood choices....so Ben tan live wit him mommy adain. Pwease bwess dat we tan go to Rylei's and pway and dat we tan yearn to det along wit eachuffer. Bwess dat Jesus tan die and dat mommy tan die an daddy, and Bubba, an all of us tan die.....(pause...trying to make sense of it all)...an dat we tan have our pirits come back down an we tan be awive adain!!! (said with lots of excitement!) Bwess dat Jesus tan be wessereted. Bwess Bubba to det better, and dat we tan go to da dollar tore an buy a pecial pwize....in da name of Jesus Christ.....AMEN!!!
Yup......Amen little girl.....amen!

I love Anna's prayers! She is so funny. It looks like you had a fun Easter. By the way, I love those pictures of Carter, too. That frowny face is so sad and so cute, I would give him anything he wanted if he did it to me!
